Pocket Full of Sunshine

Sierra Bruggink – Pocket Full of Sunshine Editor

I currently live in Ogden Valley Utah, surrounded by mountains. I am seldom ever indoors. I write for the local newspaper, the magazine Her Culture and am the wellness blogger for The Face of Cancer. On top of that, I am a full time student. I love yoga, photography, dancing, hiking, acting, baking, tea and lazy Sunday afternoons. I enjoy traveling and having crazy adventures. My goal is to visit every state in the U.S. and at least half of all the countries in the world. I believe in living life to the fullest, and I am always trying new things.

May Cui - Writer

Hey everyone! I’m May Cui from California and I’m only 16. I love to create and run blogs and taking photos with my polaroid camera (even though buying film is driving me broke). I believe journalism and spreading stories has the power to change the world which is why I'm writing for She Speaks.

Aubrey Dabbs- Writer

I, Aubrey-Michigan, am a seventeen year-old girl originating from Corona, CA and made my way in a circle around the outskirts of the little county of Riverside, CA with my chaotic family of five. I grew up the middle child with an older sister and younger brother. Since my sister is five years older than myself, I found myself with a fire to compete alongside her. As my drive to battle with my sister for academics grew, I found myself keeping journals of all sorts and discovering a passion for the artistry I like to call writing. Words have never been simple to me and it is my deepest wish that all those who see what is written, looks with their heart. There is one mindset I have found necessary for all means of our lives, which is to look up and be thankful something is still there.

Moorea Cioppa – Writer

Alongside music and working with youth, writing is my passion. The road to my dreams is always under construction, but I never stop working on them - I have been featured in three poetry anthologies, attended the 2014 Disney Dreamers Academy, and intend to publish a novel. I believe in perseverance - it is possible to break through the dark and into the light, as long as we continue to forge ahead. When not writing or playing music, I divide my time between the martial arts studio and my congregation.

I'm a thoughtful, kindhearted, wise thinking guy that has a dark side within myself. I listen to those that are in the need to be heard and help those that are in the need of guidance. I write  poems that teenagers can relate to and I can socialize with people that i've just met. I like to read and watch movies in the middle of the night, thats when my thoughts unmask. I love hanging with my friends that give me a motivation to live and laugh. Writing is a passion i can't stop loving, its something within that won't stop growing.
